Mid-Year Meeting

In 2007, Indiana Youth Soccer implemented a summer Mid-Year Meeting to allow expanded opportunity for administrative workshops, coaching education and organizational meetings. Indiana Youth Soccer's inaugural Mid-Year Meeting was held Saturday, July 21st at the state office in Indianapolis. The day was highlighted by a sample U9 Academy Day which demonstrated the new Academy format which will take effect for Fall 2007 play.

Other sessions included League One training, new manager round table discussion, tournament & cup meetings, Directors of Coaching and Academy Administrator sessions, Youth Soccer Month information and more. The picnic-style lunch featured guest speaker Dr. John Thomas, the Assistant Director of Coaching Education for US Youth Soccer.

Throughout the day, Indiana Youth Soccer members enjoyed surprise give-aways such as Chicago Fire tickets, clipboards, t-shirts, and more. Attendees had the opportunity to shop the Indiana Youth Soccer Resource Library and also pick up free educational brochures and materials.

Indiana Youth Soccer would like to thank all those who attended the event. A special thank you goes to the U9 families who brought their children to participate in the U9 Academy Day demonstration.
